Harvest festivals here in Lancaster County are a great way to enjoy the harvest time events and savor some wonderful seasonal produce and homemade sweets. Columbus Day Weekend is a popular time for many communities to host Harvest Days or Harvest Festivals. Below are three wonderful opportunities as you to plan your weekend.
- 57th Annual Harvest Days at Landis Valley Museum is full of exhibits, demonstrations, live music, and hands-on activities. Enjoy the delicious churned apple butter and cider.
- Fall Farm Days at Amish Farm & House offers a corn maze, pick your own pumpkin, hay rides and other activities in addition to their normal guided tours of this historic 1805 farmhouse.
- Haldeman Mansion Fall Apple Festival showcases the mansion by providing free tours of the facility. Apples will be pressed for cider and a sampling of apple desserts can be enjoyed by listening to music on the lawn overlooking the Susquehanna River.
