Harvest festivals here in Lancaster County are a great way to enjoy the harvest time events and savor some wonderful seasonal produce and homemade sweets.  Columbus Day Weekend is a popular time for many communities to host Harvest Days or Harvest Festivals. Below are three wonderful opportunities as you to plan your weekend.

  1. 57th Annual Harvest Days at Landis Valley Museum is full of exhibits, demonstrations, live music, and hands-on activities.  Enjoy the delicious churned apple butter and cider.
  2. Fall Farm Days at Amish Farm & House offers a corn maze, pick your own pumpkin, hay rides and other activities in addition to their normal guided tours of this historic 1805 farmhouse.
  3. Haldeman Mansion Fall Apple Festival showcases the mansion by providing free tours of the facility. Apples will be pressed for cider and a sampling of apple desserts can be enjoyed by listening to music on the lawn overlooking the Susquehanna River.
